Introducing the KC7 Foundation

For years, the cyber security industry has been a difficult field to break into due to a lack of training resources that actually give aspiring analysts hands-on access to real or realistic data. Four years ago, we created the KC7 game to fill that void in the industry and to help people from all backgrounds break into the industry. Today, we’re thrilled to announce the launch of the KC7 Foundation – a non-profit organization that will further our mission of breaking down barriers to the security field.

The KC7 game already allows people who want to break into the industry a means of learning real cybersecurity skills like pivoting, threat clustering, and more, with a realistic, simulated dataset. With the creation of the KC7 Foundation, we are excited to bring even more resources to people of ALL backgrounds, experience levels, ages, and more, with expanded training modules, career advice, mentorship and more.

Today is only the beginning of this journey to help build the next generation of diverse cyber security analysts. We are beyond grateful for the support and passion we’ve received from the community so far, and we need your help to continue in this mission! We are excited to work with all of you – security professionals, educators, and changemakers – to transform the cybersecurity industry and create a more diverse workforce.
