Blain Hailemariam

Blain is a cybersecurity graduate student at Georgetown University and works on the Risk and Vulnerability Remediation team at NFCU.

On KC7, she climbed the leaderboard and gained hands-on experience investigating simulated cyber intrusions through log analysis. Now, she helps others discover cybersecurity the same way, contributing to training content, co-hosting workshops, and showing up at major industry events like Black Hat.

She also founded ServeCyber.org, a resource connecting people to cyber volunteer opportunities, and serves as IT Co-Chair for her local Volunteer Fire Department. Whether she's diving into a new challenge or helping someone land their first security win, Blain believes cybersecurity skills grow best through play, practice, and community.
