About KC7

KC7 is a free cybersecurity game that teaches real-world threat investigation skills through hands-on, story-driven challenges. Our mission is to make cybersecurity education accessible to everyone — from curious beginners to seasoned professionals. We're building a community of the next generation of defenders, and we need your help spreading the word.

The Role

We're looking for a creative, organized volunteer to help grow KC7's presence on LinkedIn and Instagram. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to contribute to the cybersecurity education community, build their portfolio, and get hands-on experience managing social media for a mission-driven organization.

You'll work closely with the KC7 team to craft content that educates, inspires, and engages our growing community of players, educators, and security professionals.

What You'll Do

• Create and schedule engaging posts for KC7's LinkedIn and/or Instagram pages (think: game highlights, player spotlights, cybersecurity tips, community milestones, and behind-the-scenes content)
• Engage with the KC7 community by responding to comments, liking posts, and fostering conversation
• Brainstorm creative content ideas that reflect KC7's mission, voice, and product
• Collaborate with the KC7 team to align content with upcoming events, game launches, or announcements
• Track basic engagement metrics and share what's resonating

What We're Looking For

• Someone who cares about cybersecurity education and/or STEM outreach
• Attention to detail — you proofread before you post
• Organized and reliable — you can stick to a simple content calendar
• Comfortable working independently in a remote, async environment
• Experience with social media (personal or professional) is a plus, but we'll work with you if you're eager to learn
• Bonus: familiarity with tools like Canva, Hootsuite, or Later

Time Commitment

Approximately 2–3 hours per week. Flexible schedule — this role is fully remote and async-friendly.
